The texture is slightly more detailed than approved model, because no DDS compression was applied. Also, the lighting effect (shading) you see here is a result of light rendering by Gmax. I subsequently applied gmax lighting effects to vertex colors, which gave me the final shading as seen above in-world. I wrote a tutorial describing vertex shading, a technique I used when modeling this harp. It allowed me to produce a harp with realistic shading, while retaining the detailed texture. |
